Meet Your Authentic Self (I AM)
"Meet your own Self. Be with your own Self; listen to it, obey it, cherish it, keep it in mind ceaselessly. You need no other guide. As long as your urge for truth affects your daily life, all is well with you." Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
Today, we will discuss ways to develop a profound understanding of your Authentic Self (I AM). By doing so, you can tap into its love, guidance, and empowerment. In the previous newsletter, I touched on the effectiveness of Self-Remembering in connecting with your Being (I AM). However, some may feel that this approach is too impersonal. Therefore, we will explore methods to establish a deeper and more personal relationship with "I AM".
The Authentic Self is known by different names, such as Higher Self, Transpersonal Self, and Soul Self, among others. In this article, I'll refer to it as "I AM".
Feeling Alone and Separate
It's understandable to feel afraid of being alone or separated from those we care about, even when surrounded by family and loved ones. It's also natural to feel anxious about losing them to unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control. Life can be a beautiful and wondrous journey, but it is not without its share of hardships. Sometimes, even the most loving relationships can become complicated and come to an end. As our children grow up and venture into the world and our loved ones pass away unexpectedly, we are left to navigate life's challenges. It is important to remember that change is a natural and necessary part of life, and we must find ways to adapt and grow through these difficult times.
I AM Is the Only Thing That Will Not Leave You
As Nisaragatta counsels us, "Meet your own Self. Be with your own Self; listen to it, obey it, cherish it." Once you know I AM and cultivate a relationship with it, you will realize there is no need ever to fear being alone again. I AM is a constant presence that will never leave your side or abandon you, no matter what challenges come your way. By trusting in its unwavering love and guidance, you can find peace and security in even the most difficult times.
I AM Will Never Abandon You, Even Though You May Abandon It
I AM could never abandon you because you are I AM, and I AM would never abandon itself. Only you, the personality self, have forgotten who you are. Because waking up to who you authentically are is integral to spiritual evolution, I AM does not directly interfere in your process. It may whisper to you softly, guiding you. I AM may gently urge you to take specific actions at different points in your life, but the ultimate choice as to which road to take must be yours.
I AM Always Loves You Unconditionally
"Your higher self is focusing love and guidance into your life in every second of your life, and it is your choice to either prevent that focused energy or to allow it." Teal Swan
A fundamental aspect of your I AM is love. I AM loves the totality of Itself, including all creation, because creation is It. It loves you because you are It. However, to receive the powerful, pure love of I AM requires you, the personality self, to be free of any parts that are not love.
"The purpose of your life is to allow yourself to be loved by your Higher Self." COL
The above quote by COL might not make sense at first. Many would assume we must love God, not be loved by God. Bhakti Yoga, for example, is a path of spiritual practice that emphasizes love and devotion to a personal deity. Love is the fabric of the universe. When we experience love, we feel connected to something larger than ourselves. We feel a sense of oneness with all of creation.
However, the catch is that to love another truly, including I AM, you must first love yourself. A self-loathing person full of shame has difficulty extending love to another. Often, their love is a form of co-dependence or hole-filling. On the other hand, a person overflowing with authentic self-love is able to extend love unconditionally to others.
Authentic self-love is not the same as vanity or ego. It is the opposite. The ego always compensates where it feels like it lacks or is not good enough. On the surface, vanity may look like confidence to some, but it is compensation for the ego not liking itself or how it looks.
Authentic self-love is unconditional. You overflow with love that spills out to others. When the ego tries to love, it is always conditional. The ego will do whatever it can to compensate for the love the wounded inner child feels it never received.
This is why healing and shadow work are essential when embarking on a spiritual path. Emotional wounding occurs when a young child's needs are not met, including the need to be loved. In an attempt to numb the pain, the wound is repressed and pushed out of our awareness into the subconscious. In the subconscious, it festers and can turn into shadows that sabotage our lives.
Until brought into the light of healing, these subpersonalities never mature. They cannot authentically give or receive love, whether receiving or giving. This includes receiving unconditional love from I AM.
Becoming Intimate With Your I AM
A guiding force has always been within you, softly whispering and patiently waiting for your attention. This force, known as "I AM," loves you without conditions, but to fully receive its love, you must first love yourself.
I AM exists in high frequencies of energy. When you are overflowing with love for yourself, the people in your life, and nature, you are vibrating at the frequency where you can receive the powerful love pouring down on you from I AM. The natural expression of this love is joy. In high states of meditation, oneness with your I AM is bliss, and being filled with love from and for your I AM is joy. Bliss and joy are natural states when intimately connected with I AM.
The more you choose to allow yourself to be loved by I AM, the more love and empowerment you will find.
I AM Sends You Guidance
"We all have an inner teacher, an inner guide, an inner voice that speaks very clearly but usually not very loudly. That information can be drowned out by the chatter of the mind and the pressure of day-to-day events." Dr. Dean Ornish
As you cultivate a relationship with I AM, moments of insight and knowingness will arise in your consciousness. I AM is highly attuned with a profound comprehension of your personality, having gained wisdom from numerous lifetimes. I AM accesses your intuition, providing guidance even before your conscious mind has a chance to process information.
The late writer and psychologist Susan Jeffers put it this way, "By learning to trust your intuition, miracles seem to happen. Intuitive thoughts are gifts from the Higher Self."
Learn to trust I AM, and your intuition will follow. By establishing a connection with the omnipresent and omnipotent force of I AM and devoting time to being in Its presence, a whole new realm of being will open up to you. You will no longer have to depend on external sources and people for guidance, as you will acquire an inner knowledge that surpasses the limits of time and space.
Connect With I AM Through the Power of Intent
Intent is a powerful force. The ancient Toltecs of Mesoamerica looked at Intent as the force that life uses to create and sustain everything in the universe. When you choose and intend an outcome, you empower the outcome to come into being. Invite I AM into your awareness. Choose and intend to know it. When you consistently invite and intend I AM, you will find a new dimension of consciousness open up to you. It may or may not happen quickly. For some, it can be a large opening all at once. But, for most, it happens through little spurts of awareness arising up here and there as you live life. You may find increased intuitive knowingness. Synchronicities may start popping up during your day.
Be Grateful for Everything You Have, Including I AM
“The more you practice gratitude, the more you see how much there is to be grateful for, and your life becomes an ongoing celebration of joy and happiness” – Don Miguel Ruiz
When you express gratitude, you're not just uttering words of thanks but boosting your emotional well-being. This elevated state of emotions aligns you with the potent frequency of I AM. By resonating with this transformative energy, you draw more of what corresponds with I AM, and I AM becomes more prevalent in your life.
Foster a profound and intimate connection with the omnipresent force of "I AM" by welcoming it into your everyday life. Take some time daily to express sincere gratitude and allow your heart to expand and embrace the essence of "I AM." The key to receiving the unconditional love and life-changing power of "I AM" is consistency. By steadfastly intending to connect with this divine force, you will experience its transformative energy and loving presence. So, be open and receptive to the love of "I AM" and allow it to transcend and elevate every aspect of your existence.

If Life Isn’t What You Want It To Be, Then There Are 2 Things You Need To Do
Kalyn
A Mindset Shift & Flowing
Shit happens. We all know it. Sometimes you have good days and sometimes you have bad days. When you are spiritual, you are supposed to go with the flow, but what does that mean? Are we supposed to be not react? No.
Are we supposed to not judge? Yes.
Can we have preferences? Of course!
Can we control what happens? Nope. If we could, we wouldn’t feel like or think that shit happens.
Being on a spiritual path means getting a sense of what being in the flow is and then doing our best to get into the flow.
In the flow you are more connected to who and what you really are. Another way of saying that is that when you are in the flow, you are more of your authentic, or even your cosmic, self. You see things from a different perspective. Here, shit doesn’t happen. Things happen.
You feel a different set of emotions. You tend to feel more loved, connected to people, life and all that is. You tend to feel like everything is always working out and, while you always do your best, you know you don’t need to worry.
There is nothing to worry about because you tend to be blissful at best and serene at worst.
From Shit To Serene: Can I Please Have Directions?
To go from where ever you are that is not connected and is likely unhappy to a much more care-free and enjoyable fluid state, you have to do two things: change your mindset and get in the flow.
Mindset
Where you want to be is no-thing. No judgement, no ideas pocking, prodding or pushing you. No feeling bad, unworthy or like you are unloved.
Changing your mindset requires two things:
1 Being willing to change, wanting to raise your experience and being willing to do what it takes.
2 Being open to a new way of seeing life, which may require you to leave old beliefs, values and habits behind.
Flowing
Flowing your energy is a simple, powerful and often enjoyable three step process that enables you to change. When you flow your energy, similar to unclogging a pipe, you increase the flow. Things get cleaned and cleared in you, your psyche and your energy. It frees you to shed masks of your beliefs or experiences and connect with a more authentic version of you.
To flow your energy, just follow these three steps:
1. Welcome your experience
2. Let yourself experience your experience, let it affect you.
3. Let it flow or go.
Similar to eating food every day, flowing is simple. Just as you start digesting your food when you start to eat, when you welcome your experience you start to flow your energy. Also similar to eating, if you never swallowed or if your stomach was blocked, your food would back up and you’d have a stomach ache, at least. When we don’t welcome and ‘digest’ our experience, we too get energetically and emotionally backed up. If this continues, it is followed by difficulty and unhappiness. If it continues, it can lead to great difficulties and even depression.
Is It Easy To Change Your Mind & Get In The Flow?
I’m fortunate in the sence that I have had an amazing flock of parrots. They are exotic pets that are unique, beautiful and sensational. They are animals that, when properly cared for, sure live 20 years for the smaller species and 40 to 50 years for the larger ones.
Unless, of course, they are unfortunate enough to get an uncommon deadly virus with no cure. This virus has cost me thousands in veterinary bills, it has quickly taken away several of my rare birds and broken my heart over and over again.
I’ve had to accept and go through death after death.
The worst part has been that there is no one to blame and nothing to be done. With no hope for a cure, I’m left powerless and with sadness and loss.
Some days this experience is shitty. I work hard to take great care of my birds, so why are they taken away in, what feels like, such a cruel way?
Other days I’ve come to realize that this is just life. It comes and goes. Beyond any blame, misfortune or anything else, I have come to see that the most important thing is to appreciate the birds I have today. I can’t know what tomorrow will bring. A new bird, or the signs of the virus in one of my beloved flock.
I’ve had to come face to face with the fact that the universe doesn’t judge or punish me or my birds. It’s just life.
I am unhappy when my birds die, but there is no right, no wrong.
Actually, there’s just nothing.
No answer to why.
Just nothing.
And that is life. Things happen. In the moment, I may feel that they are good, bad; right or wrong. When I flow them, I feel sad, mad or however I feel. I let it affect me and sometimes it is like a dark cloud casting a shadow over the landscape of my heart. Then I let it go.
And there is nothing.
In Nothing There Is Everything
Life just is.
Things happen and sometimes there is a reason for it, sometimes not but ultimately it doesn’t matter. As you go about our day and your life, you are meant to experience it. A lot of people try not to be affected by it. They may, for example, try to stay positive no matter what.
However, overriding your feelings with positivity is not necessarily authentic, and being inauthentic can disconnect you from yourself and your flow.
Feeling however you feel in the moment and letting the experience affect you, on the other hand, allows you to live life.
We know that life does not live by our rules. It is neither kind nor cruel; it does not reward nor punish us. It is an experience of everything that it offers and of nothing that we keep, save the energy we are.
As such, you will find that when you live your life and then let it flow, you will experience what you do. You will have your desires and pursue your dreams, but then let them go. Your day to day experience is best lived in the flow and then in nothing.
Because it is only in feeling nothing, after you flow, that you will find everything life has to offer.

It seems that we are/ I was in the normal state of developing the body of the mind, thoughts, thinking body. And its nothing abnormal. Next step is to be smart enough to overcome the smart thinking. And one of the breakthroughs is to tap into feeling and sensing of self. Allow emotions to go and of course it takes time but the sensation of letting go , healing emotional body is what feeds my Spirit. Ya, my Spirit is hungry or healing. Holly mamma. Once the body of Awareness is born, thats when I discovered the I Am. We are Self Awareness. In my particular case , I went too fast to find Self, so this letting go of deep thick emotional layers is a work in progress. Its not happening so fast and its great , it gives time to experience many attributes, owning transformation by steps, clearing my future, healing my body, being Love, experience the joy of seeing everything around me, as Divine expression an many more. And yes, with Self Awareness comes Love, and Joy. Many flowers to you guys !
